I often have wondered or thought about our heavenly home and wondered if it was going to be like the gospel songs and church songs that say The streets are lined with gold! I hope that I will surely make it to Heaven when my toes are finally turned up ?I am convinced that God knows my heart inside out! I know that I am not a high maintenance type of individual and happy with just my needs and I don’t have to have all the gold that is in Heaven just a nice little homey place like is in this picture? Then I think again could it be that I don’t deserve some place that beautiful , but since I am not hard to please then I will take anything I can get?What might your thoughts be of what Heaven is going to be like ? Blessings to you and if we don’t get a chance to meet here on earth may we meet in Heaven! RON. Ps- I had in mind with this thought of this picture that all of my good friends could go fishing with me or would that come under the selfish traits that We have on this earth !

That’s a lovely view. When my family used to go to North Carolina on vacation, I thought to myself that I would like my corner of heaven to be just like it was in the mountains. Cool air…hummingbirds…the sound of the creek running behind the cabin.
It isn’t going to matter because we are going to be with Him.
But I’m coming to Cairo one of these days and meeting you, Ron…you and Pastor Gordon.

When ever I read the description of Heaven it reminds me the things we think are important like gold aren’t, we’ll be walking on those streets of gold. It seems to me as a great reminder not to store our treasures here but in Heaven.

I love that picture Bro. Ron. The thought that has often occurred to me about heaven is this, as beautiful as this world is, God did it in just six days.
It was almost two thousand years ago that Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you”. If this earth is this pretty after six days, how nice will Heaven be after two thousand years?

People always laugh and say I am silly whenever I tell this..(probably because I am such a dreamer), but my only vision of me in heaven is sitting at the Lords feet, sewing golden threads into the hem of his white gowns…and I get to sit all day and listen to His responses to all that approach the throne…I just get to sit and listen and weave golden threads…see told ya it was silly.

Bro. Ron I praise God for the gift of eternal life and like you I can’t help but wonder about all the specifics. I sure wouldn’t mind fishing with you guys at all. I get really excited when I think about 1st Corinthians 2:9,
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
It’s just to good to imagine!

I love the water, so when I think of heaven, I think of how we will be able to go dive into the ocean and see all the fish and not even have to come up and take a breath, we can ride the dolphins and whales and see all the things we could never experience before. I guess that might seem far out, but it really is what I imagine heaven to be like, where we just enjoy all of God’s creation and you can just feel this Big LOVE all over the place.
